Product Itinerary
Embark on the ultimate Ningaloo experience departing from Exmouth. Swimmers will get the opportunity to slip into the water for the unforgettable experience of swimming with a whale shark in a full day experience complete with souvenir photos and video.

Your swimming ability will be assessed by our crew during the morning snorkel. You must be physically fit with prior snorkelling experience or be a strong swimmer and able to swim unassisted for 50 metres in open ocean conditions. You will need to be comfortable in the water without a floatation device as each whale shark swim involves between 5–7 minutes of swimming in the open ocean, and the swims are repeated several times with short five-minute rest periods between the swims. You can opt out of swims at any time if you wish.

Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
Any personal medication you require during the day
We recommend wearing polarised sunglasses to reduce glare and assist in seeing the animals, especially important as an observer.
If you haven’t spent a lot of time on boats, it can be a good idea to take a sea sickness tablet on the morning of your tour. These must be purchased prior to your tour date.

HEALTH & FITNESS
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a suitable level of health and fitness to undertake this tour. In addition to the physical exertion of swimming and snorkelling in the open ocean, a high level of mobility is required as you will embark and disembark from a small tender to our vessel for the tour and climb back out of the water on to the moving boat platform with a small ladder.

Please Note: EDWN reserve the right to alter or cancel specific dives/tours/courses without notice due to weather, sea conditions, minimum numbers or other factors. We always recommend that you travel with flexibility in your itinerary and with travel insurance. We cannot guarantee sightings of any creature, nor do we control their behaviour, as they are all wild animals in their natural environment.
All children will need full adult supervision and be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the tour. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on the vessel.

A minimum number of 6 travellers are required for tour confirmation. Should the minimum participant number not be reached, or the tour be cancelled due to weather, your tour can be transferred to another date or similar tour, or a full refund will be offered.
